God is Abounding in Whatever You Need

But you, O LORD, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness (Psalm 86:5,15, ESV)
For Understanding:
In these times you may have experienced your favorite shopping place being out of stock on something you needed. Parents of babies and young children know this to be true concerning baby formula or other kid-friendly food items. It’s not uncommon anymore to see the words “out of stock” when ordering something online. You might try ordering from another place but usually if something is hard to find one place it’s hard to find anywhere and the only thing you can do is wait until it comes back in stock. Depending on the item there is a chance you can substitute what you’re looking for with something else, but if you’re a stickler on brand, quality and reliability, substitutions aren’t always a good idea. Sometimes all you can do it wait it out.
Steadfast love and faithfulness are not the only qualities God is abounding in. He is abounding in everything we can think of mercy, grace, peace, compassion, forgiveness, peace, compassion, understanding; whatever it is we have need of to assist or full us God abounds in. How blessed we are God’s treasure house is never running low or out of stock on the things we need to experience. He’s never had a shortage or run out of those precious soul and spiritual blessings needful for this journey. His abounding character has never been empty or come up short. Like the definition of abounding; “existing in or providing a great or plentiful quantity or supply; full of, abundant. There is always a plentiful, endless, inexhaustible supply. While many have tried to substitute the world’s answer for the things they need, they quickly find there are no substitutions. Only God gives the real thing; only God can supply us with that which is not in danger of being scarce, insufficient or being recalled.

Great God, generous and abounding not only in steadfast love and faithfulness, but all things that show your care and love towards your created beings. May we always remember you not only have but are overflowing and abounding in your care of us. May not even one day go by that we do not stop to praise and thank you for your amazing character and attitude toward us. Amen
