Regarding our Supernatural Triangle, Pt. 1
According to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Holy Spirit of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood. (I Peter 1:2, ESV)
My daughter came to help me change my kitchen around. It’s our third attempt to get it right. I think this time it’s going to work out fine and I can operate more efficiently. For me it’s important to be able to work within a triangle. No matter how my kitchens have been designed: long and narrow, in an L-shape, squared, or oblong, finding my “triangle” to work within has been important and sometimes it takes me a while to do it.
There is another triangle we operate in and that is that holy, supernatural triangle consisting of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Sometimes it takes us a while to understand this awesome supernatural power available to and with us in this life but when we finally [get-it] we are good to go.
Each one has a position and function in our life: God, who created us and continues to create and recreate us on this journey, watch over this world and keep us filled with his life-giving breath and spirit; God the Son, who came to die on the cross, be that perfect, needed sacrifice, redeeming us and bringing salvation to us; and God the Holy Spirit who was sent to us once Jesus ascended into heaven to take his throne beside the Father.
The Holy Spirit is the one who transforms us, sanctifies us, fills us with his beautiful fruit so we can become more and more like the Father and Son. He, along with the heavenly angels guard and keep us so our great enemies Satan, the devil, and the forces of darkness and evil assigned to bring destruction, cannot harm us or destroy us.
When believers commit to seeking God with their whole heart, study his Word, pray, listen, guard their heart, and submit to all the Father and Son speaking through the Holy Spirit; growing in strength and power, growing up in their salvation, they learn that although life is full of disappointments, challenges, even troubles and tragedies they can not only survive this life, but become steadfast in faith and experience victory.
My kitchen triangle serves me well but the supernatural triangle we all have available to us not only serves us but protects, energizes, and strengthens us. Let’s Pray,
Blessed Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, our Triune God, because we are covered on every side and in every way we don’t have to walk through this life full of fear, anxious about anything, or lacking confidence. Thank you for your awesome presence and companionship in this life. Amen
