A Prayer Asking God to Bless Our Medication

So Naaman went down to the Jordan River and dipped himself seven times, as the man of God had instructed him, and his skin became as healthy as the skin of a young child, and he was healed. (2 Kings 5:14, NLT)

Lord, we pray before meals, praying over the food we will eat, asking a blessing over it that it will nourish our bodies, strengthen, and help us. Why should we not also pray about the medicine we take into our bodies. Pray that they will help us, strengthen us, heal us, and do what they have been purposed to do.

From the Old to the New Testament, we read stories of how you healed us. Sometimes you would speak a word of healing, sometimes you would touch and deliver from sickness or pain, and other times you chose to employ a unique and creative prescription for healing. We receive all the methods of healing you deign to use in our lives and believe you can heal and strengthen these earthly bodies and minds any way you desire; through whatever means you desire. We accept earthly medications as a gift from you to us, your beloved creation. We do not misuses or abuse any medicine, supplement or prescription, but treat and receive them respectfully and joyfully into our life.  

We pray today, Lord, that the medicines and supplements that come from the ground, come from plants and flowers, those that have been developed by and through advanced medical science and technology and know-how will have the effect they have been purposed to have in our bodies, restore us to good and reasonable health so we may continue our earthly journey as you have intended.  

We ask you to bless and use our medications and supplements to bring healing into our lives, to help us overcome illness, remove disease, eliminate pain, to renew our bodies and put our mind back in that good and healthy place, and yes, we stay open to your manifesting miracles that are beyond what we could ever think, ask or imagine.

Just as we offer our ailments, sicknesses, and diseases to you Lord, we also offer our medications and supplements intended for our wellbeing. May we recognize that you are able to work through them to bring about your purposes for us.

Gather your prescriptions and supplements together and pray over them. Asking God to bless them and cause them to have the results he intends  bringing health, strength, healing to your body and or mind. Pray you will not have negative side effects, only that which is beneficial.
