You Are Stronger than Ever!

They go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power]. (Psalm 84:7, Amplified Bible)

It’s nearly Mum season. I love Mums, especially the hearty Mums. They are one of my favorite flowers. And I especially love that they are not only lovely but so strong and are now available in so many vibrant hues. It takes a lot to keep them down or shorten their life. They will survive frosts and even first snowfalls. Once we plant them in the ground and give them some room to grow, they will bloom year after year, season after season. They do not fade as they get older, but somehow become more vibrant and stronger, able to endure the elements and even human neglect.

In the human life, when we belong to the Lord we also go from strength to strength. As God fills and cares for us, we are a lot like the Mum: having the substance to endure, becoming stronger, increasing in power and sturdiness so we are victorious in living. The winters or droughts of our earthly experience do not kill our vibrancy or steal our beauty, but only add to our and strength and enduring spirit. All this is God’s plan for us while we live out our days on earth. Let’s Pray

Dear God, thank you for creating us strong and making sure we can endure anything at all; even the very worst and trying seasons life brings. Every time we look upon the Mum, we can remember this is how we are: beautiful, strong, lush and deeply rooted. Because of your care we can increase in power and flourish in life. Amen
